The goal of this creative assignment was to “embrace the moment,” and to take pictures of subjects that you normally would not be able to capture. I chose to photograph all of my pictures with my cell phone camera and create a Mexican restaurant theme. I have all of my photos in a story-telling layout to create dynamic and energetic photography. I captured lots of movement and action in these pictures but allowed myself enough time to freeze a moment in time. For example the one of the waiter carrying out the drinks, that was just an everyday moment during rush hour, but I caught his movement. I feel that was one of my most successful techniques in producing this project, because I went into a place (restaurant) where there is lots of interaction among different people and also lots of movement among the hard working employees. I really liked this idea because it was something unique not only because I really have never seen photography that captures the fun and excitement that goes on inside of a restaurant but also creates a story out of it depicting energy and life. This project, I would say, is one of the more appealing projects we have created thus far. With that said, I really did not see myself doing anything different knowing that these photos were not going to be developed, I just shot shot shot a lot lot lot.
